With a weight capacity of 350lbs, the Bird Island Outfitters® HERON provides the freedom of adventure on the water to a wide range of paddlers. The 6” drop stitch deck easily inflates tobecome super rigid providing ultra-stability. Drop stitch technology uses tens of thousands of tough polyester threads tightly woven together under two layers of PVC material. Similar to a catamaran, the outer pontoons not only provide structure, they also help to stabilize it on the water. Flipping the HERON over is nearly impossible!

The Bird Island Outfitters® HERON is super fast! The outer pontoons not only provide structure & stability, they also aid in tracking and hydrodynamics. With the elevated drop stitch deck, the pontoons “cut” through the water with minimal drag allowing the user to cover lots of water efficiently. The tri-fin system aids with tracking in a straight line.

With durable supplemental pontoons complimenting the ultra sturdy drop stitch floor, this amazing inflatable SUP+KAYAK hybrid board is sure to support you on the water and give you the maximum confidence to stand tall. Not ready to stand? Not to worry—sit back in comfort with our body-hugging kayak seat (included) and paddle with ease. Also, moving into a kayak position works great if the wind picks up a bit.
The HERON measures in at under 10 feet long making it super easy to move around! Other inflatable SUP boards generally measure 11-12 feet long for stability since they don’t have the supplemental pontoons. That extra length makes those competitor boards cumbersome to move around.

Inflatable paddle boards are tough, durable, and forgiving… not to mention lightweight. They are meant to be used and enjoyed without any added stress. The PVC material that our boards are made of is military grade—made from the same PVC that Special Forces and Navy SEALS use in their zodiacs as they perform ocean operations.
