PRODUCT WARRANTIES

INFLATABLE PADDLE BOARDS

1 Year Manufacturer Limited Warranty on all Bird Island Outfitters LLC inflatable paddle boards from date of purchase. We guarantee against any abnormal defect in workmanship and materials within this period. At our sole discretion we reserve the right to either have the defective part or product professionally repaired, or replaced with an equivalent product at no cost to you. This warranty commitment does not cover claim conditions listed below.

THIS WARRANTY COMMITMENT FOR INFLATABLE PADDLE BOARDS DOES NOT COVER CLAIM CONDITIONS SUCH AS:

  • Damage or defects caused by impact with any materials or objects (rocks, docks, thorns, barnacles, coral, other boards, etc).
  • Damage or defects caused by use outside of its intended purpose.
  • Damage or defects caused by normal wear and tear.
  • Damage or defects caused by transport, loading, unloading, dropping, or out of water handling. Including marks left by over tightening transport straps.
  • Damage or defects caused by heel dents also known as pressure dings.
  • Damage or defects caused by inappropriate storage in temperatures over 90°F and under 32°F.
  • Damage caused by over heating as a result of exposure to direct sunlight while not in use.
  • Peeling of any adhered PVC material or deck traction pad as a result of storage in temperatures over 90°F and under 32°F.
  • Damage or defects caused by wave impact and/or impact with ocean/lake floor.
  • Damage or defects caused by storage of the board in closed, damp conditions (example a wet board bag).
  • Boards used in rental, commercial, or teaching environment.
  • Damage to fin or fin box caused by impact to the fin.
  • Tears/rips of any removable seat strap.
  • Damage or corrosion of the connecting components on any removable seat strap.

 

REMOVABLE CENTER FIN

1 Year Manufacturer Limited Warranty on all Bird Island Outfitters LLC removable center fins from date of purchase. We guarantee against any abnormal defect in workmanship and materials within this period. This warranty commitment does not cover claim conditions listed below.

THIS WARRANTY COMMITMENT FOR REMOVABLE CENTER FINS DOES NOT COVER CLAIM CONDITIONS SUCH AS:

  • Damage or defects caused by impact with any materials or objects (rocks, docks, thorns, barnacles, coral, other boards, concrete, walls, etc).
  • Damage or defects caused impact with ocean/river/lake floor.
  • Damage due to normal wear and tear.
  • Damage or defects caused by transport, loading, unloading, dropping, or out of water handling.
  • Degradation due to improper storage (ie. not removing the fin and storing it in temperatures over 90°F and under 32°F).
  • Fin sinking due to user error (ie. improper installation into fin box or simply dropping it)
  • Damage to fin bolt due to excessive over-tightening while securing the center fin into fin box.
  • Degradation of fin bolt due to corrosion by salt water or any other corrosive substances.

 

2-IN-1 PADDLES

1 Year Manufacturer Limited Warranty on all 2-in-1 paddles from date of purchase. We guarantee against any abnormal defect in workmanship and materials within this period. At our sole discretion we reserve the right to either have the defective part or product professionally repaired, or replaced with an equivalent product at no cost to you.

THIS WARRANTY COMMITMENT FOR PADDLES DOES NOT COVER CLAIM CONDITIONS SUCH AS:

  • Damage or defects caused by impact with any materials or objects (rocks, docks, concrete, etc ).
  • Chips, cracks or separation of the blade due to a result of impact with any object(s).
  • Damage due to falling on the paddle.
  • Paddle sinking.
  • Damage or defects caused by use outside of its intended purpose.
  • Damage or defects caused by transport, loading, unloading, dropping, or out of water handling.
  • Damage due to normal wear and tear.
  • Damage or defects caused by wave impact and/or impact with ocean/river/lake floor.
  • Improper installation of the handle.
  • Breakage or damage as a result of over extending the adjustable shaft.
  • Breakage or damage of adjustable mechanism due to improper use and/or maintenance.
  • Paddles used in rental, commercial, or teaching environment.

 

HAND PUMPS

1 Year Manufacturer Limited Warranty on all Bird Island Outfitters LLC pumps from date of purchase. We guarantee against any abnormal defect in workmanship and materials within this period. At our sole discretion we reserve the right to either have the defective part or product professionally repaired, or replaced with an equivalent product at no cost to you.

THIS WARRANTY COMMITMENT FOR PADDLES DOES NOT COVER CLAIM CONDITIONS SUCH AS:

  • Failures caused by over-inflation and under-inflation
  • Snags, tears, cuts and punctures obtained during normal use
  • Fading from exposure to sunlight or weathering
  • Misuse, abuse and neglect
  • Improper storage
  • Items used in a commercial setting/application
  • Product degradation due to chemicals (e.g. Chlorine, etc.)
  • Used items

 

BOARD BAGS

1 Year Manufacturer Limited Warranty on all carry bags from date of purchase. We guarantee against any abnormal defect in workmanship and materials within this period. At our sole discretion we reserve the right to either have the defective part or product professionally repaired, or replaced with an equivalent product at no cost to you.

THIS WARRANTY COMMITMENT FOR BAGS DOES NOT COVER CLAIM CONDITIONS SUCH AS:

  • Fading.
  • Tears, rips or holes caused by collision or abuse.
  • Zipper damage caused by misuse or improper care and maintenance.
  • Damage due to normal wear and tear.
